Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime SM-G530H is a dual sim 3G smartphone. Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime SM-G530F on the other hand is a single sim phone but it has 4G LTE connectivity. This article will cover how do we root both models of galaxy grand prime – 530f and 530h.

Before We Root

How to Root Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime SM-G530H

In order to root Root Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime SM-G530H you must fulfill the following conditions:

After you have fulfilled all the conditions above, you are ready to root your device. Just follow the steps below.

  1. Unzip the CF Root folder in your PC that you downloaded above.
  2. After unzipping, you will see 2 files in the folder:
  • 1_cfroot_sm-g530h_mohan.tar.md5
  • 2_cache_recovery_stock_mohan_sm-g530h.tar
  1. Unzip the Odin folder in your PC
  2. Right click on odin icon and select ‘Run as administrator’
  3. Now you need to run your phone in ‘Download Mode‘. (Turn off your phone > Remove the battery > Reinsert the battery > Press ‘volume down’ + ‘home’ + ‘power’ keys together for a little while until you see warning screen > Press ‘volume up’ button)
  4. Connect your phone with you PC
  5. As soon as you connect your phone with your PC, you will see ID:COM block turning blue. You’ll also get ‘added’ message when your phone is connected properly.
  6. Click on PDA button in Odin
  7. Choose the file ‘1_cfroot_sm-g530h_mohan.tar.md5’ and click open.
  8. Make sure that ONLY ‘Auto Reboot’ and ‘F. Reset Time’ options are tick marked.
  9. Click ‘start’
  10. Odin will flash this file for you in couple for minutes.
  11. Sit back and relax until your phone is rebooted.
  12. You will see ‘Pass’ message in Odin when the file is flashed successfully.
  13. Wait for your phone to reboot automatically.
  14. Now run your phone in Download Mode again
  15. Connect your phone with your PC
  16. Click on PDA button in Odin
  17. This time, choose the file ‘2_cache_recovery_stock_mohan_sm-g530h.tar’ and click open.
  18. Make sure that ONLY ‘Auto Reboot’ and ‘F. Reset Time’ options are tick marked.
  19. Click ‘start’
  20. Odin will flash this file as well in couple for minutes.
  21. Wait until your phone is rebooted automatically.
  22. You will see ‘Pass’ message in Odin when the file is flashed successfully.
  23. Wait for your phone to reboot.

Once your phone is rebooted, go to the menu and look for SuperUser app. If you have that app in your phone, it means that your phone has been rooted.

You can also check if your device is rooted by an app in Play Store, Root Checker.

 


 

 

How to Root Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime SM-G530F

Rooting Samsung Galaxy Prime SM-G530F is pretty much the same as SM-G530H. Just follow the steps below to root your samsung galaxy grand prime 530F easily.

Before rooting, make sure the you fulfill the following conditions:

Troubleshoot

Q. My phone always reboots in the recovery mode.

Solution:

  1. Restart your phone.
  2. It will start in recovery mode.
  3. Choose “wipe data/factory reset”
  4. Select ‘Yes’ with power button.
  5. Wait for your phone to reset cache.
  6. Now choose “wipe cache partition”
  7. Select ‘Yes’ with the power button.
  8. Wait for the cache to reset.
  9. Now choose “Reboot system now”.

          It means that your device is not connecting to your pc. Check your USB cable

            USB is working with device i daily transfer pics etc from my cell phone and cell phone is only 6months used. My pc is also one year old . Should i download the files again of odin etc,
